Dear customer, welcome to the NEW LambrettaFinder.com
This virtual showroom/shop contains a wide range of decent 50's/60's/70's scooters and high quality parts, all imported directly from Italy.
As fellow scooter-enthusiasts, we take pride in offering you the best possible material at a reasonable price. This all is possible because of the lack of intermediaries, and thanks to our contacts in Italy and the rest of Europe.
If you fancy a model which isn't present in our virtual shop yet, you can always contact us and we'll find you one! (Don't forget: some models are very rare even in Italy, so a little bit of patience might be needed.)
Our scooters can be restored to your specifications. You can always contact us for more information or an estimate. In the meantime, feel free to admire the pics of our own restorations using the tool bar.
About Sam
Sam is quite young when he starts getting interested in scooters. Born in 1976, he buys his first Vespa in 1993. He immediately gets himself another one to fiddle about with. At that time his 'workshop' consists of a 10m² shed in his mothers backyard.
In 1994 Sam buys his first Lambretta, and restores it in 1995. In the meantime he does some maintenance for other scooter riders.
The following years he starts to collect scooters, financing them by restoring scooters for other people, buying and selling, and servicing.
In 2000 Sam moves to a bigger garage of 100m². By that time he has already built up a large collection of rare 60's Lambrettas, some Vespas and a lot of original accessories.
In September 2002 his gorgeous Vespa GS MK1 gets featured in Scootering magazine.
Sam is still doing mechanics and restorations for others.
In 2004 he decides to quit his job and start with scooters fulltime. LambrettaFinder is born!!
He starts visiting Italy frequently to buy Lambrettas and Vespas and the buisness starts growing quickly. Soon the garage as well as the van and trailer are getting to small.....
At the end of 2006 Sam has the opportuniny to buy a warehouse, only 2 km from his house, on the mainroad of Rumst.
Spring 2007 he starts organising the new 500m² warehouse. There is enough space to restore and do machanics, storage for new parts as well as secondhand parts and a big office. There is a lot of space to stall the stock of 50-70 Italian scooters for sale. He still drives to Italy every 6 weeks to pick up Vespas and Lambrettas.
September 2011 opening a new 230m² showroom, Molenbergstraat 94 Rumst, at 100m from the wearhouse. We still do machanics and restoration in the wearhouse
Sam still does most of the restorations and organises the stock of the new parts.
